Product Spotlight: Worldwide Material Handling

Worldwide Material Handling | Logo

Worldwide Material Handling is the best source for pallet rack protection products, from everyday safety staples to inventive alternatives – all manufactured to the highest quality standards across the board. Worldwide’s inclusive list of pallet rack accessories will make any warehouse a safer, more efficient place.

First on the list is their best-selling pallet rack protection piece, the column guard. Worldwide’s pallet rack column guards are designed to prevent outrigger damage in your warehouse by protecting the bottom portion of the frame, where most pallet rack damage occurs. These come standard as a floor-mounted design and are available in 12”, 18” or 24” heights. Each column guard fits a standard 3”-wide column with a footplate up to 3.75” wide, keeping it low profile.

Also small in size but big on results is the V-Nose Protector. The V-nose Protector will guard the base of the pallet rack upright from being damaged during the everyday hustle of a warehouse. The V-shaped deflector absorbs impact from any angle, making this design unique and highly effective. It fits all 3” wide columns on any type of pallet rack and stands 4” high. It’s built with 5/16”-thick steel and mounts with a heavy-duty floor anchor so it’s always ready to absorb impact and maintain a dependable performance.

In addition to protecting against your average forklift, the V-Nose Protector is the perfect defense for damage caused by reach trucks. Its 4” height allows the V-Nose Protector to fit under low beam levels and protect your pallet rack from getting bumped by the reach truck’s outriggers. Best of all, V-Nose Protectors are available from stock, allowing us to get your order filled quickly!

To offer more surface protection, try Worldwide’s pallet rack frame protector, also known as the WorldGuard. Standing 24” tall and 3/16” thick, it’s the only pallet rack frame protector that allows reinforcement and protection at the same time. A 3” high bull-nose guard deflects forklifts to keep columns from being damaged.

The WorldGuard frame protector is perfect for closed tube column designs and installs from the front of the pallet rack column using our exclusive T-bolt hardware. It will fit on all 3” wide pallet rack columns, and 4” wide designs are available by request.

If you’re looking for a new spin on traditional protection, look no further than the WorldRAM. The WorldRAM is an amped-up version of your average post protector, as it combines rubber elastomers and steel into a single unit for unparalleled protection. One WorldRAM stands 12” tall and wraps around the front and sides of a column, or stack two WorldRAMs for even more coverage! This highly elastic compound coupled with a U-shaped steel insert reduces peak stress in a column by 72%. Best of all, installation is extremely easy and hardware-free!

Amongst these innovative designs, however, are also versions of the most basic safety necessities such as customizable guard railing. Worldwide confidently offers just one grade of strength in their railing – industrial strength – fit to protect machinery, walkways, in-plant offices, personnel, inventory, and equipment with full reliance.

To complete the check list of pallet rack safety, end-of-aisle protectors will guard pallet rack frames exposed to aisles, intersections, and high traffic areas. Worldwide’s end-of-aisle protectors are built with a 5/16″-thick construction. The 5″ x 3″ x 7/16″-thick angle base is pre-punched and installs with 3/4″-dia. anchors. Best of all, these end-of-aisle protectors are designed to fit all types of pallet rack applications, and are available in right, left, or double-end designs.

It’s the perfect time to keep safety on the brain and Worldwide is here to make it easy. Easy ordering, fast shipping, and simple installation are the only things standing in between your client and a safer warehouse.
