Protection for Your Employees

Employee safety is always the most important thing to consider within your warehouse. Accidents involving employees are difficult and often have lasting implications. Long term disability, medical expense and the possibility of legal action make this a topic that deserves attention.

Your local Indoff Material Handling Partner has the knowledge and experience within the industry to know which railing systems your business needs. Their expertise with current applicable standards will assist them in specifying the correct guarding for you. From loading docks, rack protectors, safety barriers, and fall protection systems – Indoff has you covered.

Industrial guard rail systems are available in many configurations. High-density plastic and steel rail systems are available. Typically in high visibility safety yellow. Guardrails are typically placed around pedestrian walkways and around sensitive equipment. All to create safety barriers from mobile equipment.

Mezzanine Fall Protection

Mezzanine regulations from OSHA state that employers must have fall protection for their employees. This applies to any raised platform over six feet. There are also specific requirements that must be met regarding railing height and weight based on the job that is being done on your raised surface. Your Indoff Material Handling Partner can assist you with this.

Damage Prevention for Your Racking

Another area to consider is rack guarding. Rack guarding protects against upright damage and failure. It’s also important to consider end aisle protection as well as pedestrian barriers. Backstop netting is available to prevent products from falling off the back of the rack. Ideal for protecting pedestrian walkways.

Protecting Your Conveyors

Conveyor Guards help protect your product from falling off of the system but also can help prevent injury of clothing or limbs becoming stuck in the rollers. Overhead conveyors can be guarded with netting. Additionally, there are stop rails that can help protect the end of the conveyor line from any vehicles or containers that are used to store the products.

It’s important when planning the design of a new warehouse – or updating an existing one – that you speak with a true material handling specialist.
